A lot of my friends were taking a field study today for their CEAT (Contemporary European Architectural Theory) class. I decided to tag along, even though I was not in the class. Got free tickets and transportation. Yesss... They went to three museums.
Roskilde Cathedral:
Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde:
Sketch Museum in Copenhagen:
Arken in Copenhagen:
In the Arken, there was some pretty cool exhibits.
But the coolest one was this long tunneled room filled with fog. It was so disorienting since you don't really know where you are going. You can't see the walls and can't really see people until you are close to them. I took some videos but it really doesn't do justice to the actual place. This was our first walkthrough of it. The reactions of everyone is pretty funny. Notice how the light changes from yellow to white:
That was only a small section of the walk through. I have a video of the entire thing when I went through the second time, but stupid blogger won't let me post it. Anywhooo...
It was pretty coooool and fun. I wish my classes had cooler field trips like this.
